Position Title: Membership Recruitment Manager

Position Summary:
The Membership Recruitment Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent support and execution of comprehensive year-round recruitment, outreach and retention plans, goals, and objectives for membership growth and participation while providing excellent member service in an assigned major metropolitan area (Fargo). Covers membership gaps council wide as business needs dictate.
Position owns the conversion of leads to membership, recruitment training and facilitation of best practices, and collaborates with member experience regarding timely placement within territory.
Champions membership engagement around recruitment, outreach, retention, community partnerships, membership communication/marketing tools, and growth and retention results, ensuring diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility for all girls. Manages and supports volunteers in territory that support membership recruitment efforts.
Major Accountabilities-Membership and Outreach within territory
Monitors membership leads in Salesforce and follows up within established council timelines to close and move leads through conversion to close.
Monitor, evaluate, execute, and provide feedback that informs strategies developed for membership and outreach retention and growth.
Cultivates community opportunities and relationships to address needs and deliver the Girl Scout leadership experience through alternative methods. For example, our outreach program.
Understand and execute sales methodology and processes to meet or exceed annual membership goals.
Provides support to Directors of Membership in team member training and mentorship for council membership team members incorporating sales methodology that results in increased membership outcomes.
Provides high quality customer service by contacting potential members, answering inquiries, clarifying desired information, researching, locating, and documenting findings through the Salesforce platform in a timely manner.
Cultivates, develops, and engages others (existing membership and within communities) in assigned territory to increase awareness, participation, and growth of membership.
Through knowledge and understanding of demographics, market data, and membership trends, research and recommend innovative ways to recruit and add a broader range of diverse members within territory.

Qualifications:
Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred, in related field such as education or recruitment/sales.
3 years of progressive responsibility in sales, marketing, community relations, or demonstrated success working with volunteers or leading teams; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for the Girl Scouts Mission. Ability to authentically connect to and persuasively communicate the Girl Scouts mission and impact required along with a high level of customer service skills and results orientation.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to successfully implementing and communicating sales methods and techniques.
Exceptional written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic, persuasive, and build support and commitment.
Proficiency in or ability to learn Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes regular travel, night and weekend hours across the assigned territory as needed.
8. Valid, current driver’s license required.
9. Ability to maintain active, paid membership in the Girl Scouts movement annually.
10. Must be able to successfully complete required pre-hire criminal background and motor vehicle screenings.

2. Ability to lift, move, transport up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
