Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Men's Program Director
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director of Ministry, the Men's Program Director is responsible for overseeing The Gospel Mission Men’s Discipleship and Shelter Programs, as well as working with the men’s residents as their case worker and coming up with a plan to help the men’s residents exit The Gospel Mission.
Required: Must be willing to sign the Gospel Mission Statement of Faith; and Marriage and Sexuality Statement, and must be a member of a local Bible believing church.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Oversees the Men’s Discipleship Program
a. Manages the overall operation of the Men’s Discipleship Program
b. Designs, creates, and implements classes for the Men’s Discipleship Program.
c. Monitors and directs the instructors of the Men’s Discipleship Program.
d. Manages all students of the Men’s Discipleship Program
2. Oversees the Shelter to Launch Program
a. Manages the overall operation of the Shelter to Launch Program
b. Ensures that residents in Shelter to Launch are meeting their required goals.
3. Oversees the Case Work for residents at The Gospel Mission
a. Works with agencies in the community that will help residents transition to moving back out into the community.
b. Works with all residents on coming up with plans to help them transition out of The Gospel Mission.
4. Works with the men’s residents as a Life Coach
a. Meets with men who are in the Men’s Discipleship Program to provide support and encouragement as they are in the program.
b. Meets with men who are in the Shelter to Launch Program to provide support and encouragement as they are transitioning in moving out of The Gospel Mission.
Education and Experience
1. Required: High School Diploma or GED
2. Preferred: Pastoral or Helping Profession Education
3. Required: 2 year experience in Rescue Mission field.
Skills/License/Certifications
· Computer: Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Word, Excel
· Valid Driver’s License
