Merchandise Buyer Assistant, Sr. jobs in Clackamas, OR

BASCO a leading appliance supply company is looking for an purchasing administrative assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high level of motivation, attention to detail, proven data entry and organizational skills and you must be able to communicate well.

Essential Responsibilities:

Creating and maintaining purchasing records as directed by the data

Update sales orders with appropriate notes, desired date, estimated delivery.

Create purchase orders in the system by vendor using previous days sales orders and all available vendor programs

Works directly with the sales team and purchasing department

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Computer Literacy, ability to learn new software quickly and efficiently

Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills

Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills

Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.

Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time.

Other Requirements

Must have minimum of 2 years of purchasing background in any field

Intermediate experience using Excel required

Experience using an ERP system is essential

Work Environment:

Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
