    Position Summary:

    Directs all administrative, finance, operations, and service activities of the Intensive School and Community-Based Services (ISCBS) department. Works closely with the President/CEO, Leadership Team, Client Services Committee, and program supervisors to ensure program activities are coordinated with the entire DFS service continuum and consistent with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. Aligns staff with the appropriate roles and responsibilities necessary to accomplish established goals and ensure the quality and effectiveness of the program.

    This position is responsible for observing policies, procedures, and safeguards to protect the privacy of health information in compliance with the HIPAA Privacy (Privacy Rule).

    Essential Functions:

    • Work with the DFS Leadership Team on the design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of school and community-based programs.
    • Encourage and support interagency communication and collaboration.
    • Provide oversight of the programs including program design, staff, and program supervision.
    • Prepare and manage the department's budget to ensure all financial objectives are met.
    • Ensure proper training of department staff.
    • Participate in client services committee to ensure collaboration across the service continuum.
    • Ensure program staff participate in client case staffing and treatment planning.
    • Oversee ongoing communication with school district personnel.
    • Assure that program staff comply with all agency policies, procedures, program requirements, and protocol.
    • Participate in required agency trainings and meetings.
    • Ensure client confidentiality as prescribed by agency policy and federal law.
    • Maintain knowledge of current accreditation requirements and Medicaid regulations.

    Other Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Develop quality assurance indicators consistent with agency standards.
    • Attend and participate in meetings, committees, and training as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, or a closely related field and four (4) years professional experience in family and children's services that included working with people identified with developmental disabilities and/or as severely emotionally disturbed. Three (3) years of experience must have supervisory responsibility.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    A master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, or a closely related field.

    • Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., WORD, EXCEL)
    • Ability to act decisively and with fairness.
    • Ability to read, speak and write in English.
    • Ability to pass a State and FBI criminal history background check.
    • Must maintain a good driving record which satisfactorily meets eligibility requirements for the company's insurance policy.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to perform sedentary work as well as to be engaged in moderate physical activities (e.g., walking).
    • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
    • Visual acuity necessary to utilize a computer monitor throughout the course of a normal workday.
    • Ability to perform repetitive keyboarding activities and operate general office equipment.
    • Ability to communicate verbally, both in person and over the telephone.
    • Must have visual and hearing acuity.

    Working Conditions:

    This position can be located at either Denali Family Services' Anchorage or Wasilla offices.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, continual proof of a valid Alaska Driver's License, maintain current personal vehicle insurance and registration on personal vehicle(s) used for company business, maintain a satisfactory driving record, and maintain satisfactory criminal background record. Must be at least 21 years of age due to state licensing requirements.
