Metadata Manager (Intermediate)

Personnel Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 6 years of design and delivery experience implementing an enterprise metadata management program.
• Experience in metadata management using tools such as Collibra.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across business and technology.
• Ability to facilitate and lead meetings with stakeholders from both business and technology domains.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with DCAT-US standard and other metadata standards.
• Certification in data management and or data governance methodology such as DCAM, DAMA, CDMP, and CDMC.

Capabilities:

• Proficient in various metadata standards, best practices, and technologies, including metadata management software and databases.
• Has strong analytical skills to identify patterns and insights from metadata for large and complex data sets.
• Has excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to address metadata management knowledge gaps to support effectiveness, while improving metadata methods and practices for the organization.
• Transforms initiatives to deliver lasting change within agencies that focus on delivering value for its customers.
• Provides interactive initial and ongoing coaching to stakeholders and teams and conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of metadata management program and recommend comprehensive training paths.
• Has experience implementing solutions using agile methodologies in complex heterogeneous environments.
• Understands the regulatory environment of a US Federal Agency and/or financial services environments and has experience delivering data and information management solutions for such organizations.
