This is an opportunity to have a major impact in the area of mainframe usage, access, and management. As part of the Infrastructure Governance team, you will work closely with our Managed Services provider and application development teams to utilize best practices for middleware infrastructure efficiencies and ease of access and use. The IT Lead Infrastructure Governance-Middleware role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The IT Lead Infrastructure Governance-Middleware ensures that middleware environments on the mainframe are optimized and maintained by our managed services provider to meet the demands of our application stakeholders.
Serves as a subject matter expert to application development, systems administration and engineering and other technical and business staff in planning the resource requirements for middleware systems under development.
Develops, maintains, recommends, documents and supports tools and backend utilities to provide database and data management.
Facilitates the development of policies to ensure that existing databases and data environments are being used as efficiently as possible.
Advises executives to develop functional middleware strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and working under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
