Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Millwright works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Millwright typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. DM Millwright LLC builds and maintains grain elevators and farms. We install and maintain grain bins, grain dryers, bucket elevators, conveyors, towers, and catwalks. This job will require a multitude of tasks including the construction of agricultural grain facilities and some concrete construction. Tools/equipment provided. Transportation provided to job sites, occasional overnight travel, only as needed. Climbing and heavy lifting is required.
