TITLE: Monitor Technician 

LOCATION: Maplewood, MN (Onsite) 

STATUS: Part-Time

SCHEDULE:  .8 - Night | Every other weekend

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $29.00 Per Hour 

This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes central cardiac monitor and interprets EKG rhythm strips.
• Reports changes in rhythm, rate, and regularity of configuration to facilitate prompt nursing assessment.
• Accurately measures PR, QRS, QT intervals on each rhythm Q 8 hours and PRN.
• Accurately interprets arrhythmia's (Heart Block, Sinus Bradycardia, Junctional rhythms, SVT, A-fib, A-flutter)
• Accurately recognizes and immediately reports life threatening arrhythmia's (VT, VF, asystole) to the nurse initiates appropriate action in crisis or emergency situations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• Must have both Monitor Tech and NST Experience.
• Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry   
• Certifications through AHA: BLS
