The Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles is seeking individuals as Coaches and Range Aids for the Motorcycle Rider Education Program. This is a non-classified position that is paid per class taught. Classes are scheduled during the motorcycle season at various locations throughout the state.
Motorcycle Rider Training Coaches
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour, $385- $490 per class
Coaches teach the curriculum adopted by the DMV and administer a variety of tests to applicants to insure only qualified individuals are issued motorcycle endorsements. Coaches are expected to develop and instill the knowledge, attitudes, habits, and skills necessary for the safe operation of a motorcycle.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : High school diploma or its equivalent.
Experience : At least two years of recent motorcycle riding experience required. Experience as a trainer, teacher, instructor, or other similar work experience preferred.
License/Certification : Currently hold a valid motorcycle endorsement that has not been suspended or revoked at any time during the preceding two years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Motorcycle Rider Training Range Aids
$13.00 per hour, $156 per class
Range Aids assist the coaches with setting up and organizing the range equipment for each course and maintains the range area during the course to keep it free of debris and obstructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : None
Experience : No experience needed.
License/Certification : Currently hold a valid driver license.
