Network Control Center Manager manages the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Directs testing, configuration changes, or upgrades to network hardware or software. Being a Network Control Center Manager oversees monitoring of the network traffic and performance to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Leads incident response and implements standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Manager develops capacity planning forecasts and strategies. Manages relations with vendors and service providers and monitors performance quality to ensure required service levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Control Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What will I do?

    The Data Center Facility Manager is ultimately responsible for the 24 X 7 successful operation of the Bluebird Data Center including, but not limited to facility management, customer support, service contract management, coordination of all data center functions and data center sales support.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Oversees activities to ensure customer satisfaction and reliable day-to-day operations are achieved. A high degree of detail and frequent follow-up, at various levels is required.
    2. Participates in the development and updating of maintenance processes and procedures for operations, system troubleshooting, testing and maintenance functions. This includes electrical, mechanical, cross-connect, building management, security, video and building safety systems.  This position is accountable for the successful implementation of those processes and procedures within the facility.
    3. Directly responsible for ensuring that all operations, routine/preventative maintenance tasks and installation/upgrades are scheduled and performed in accordance with all documented manufacturer, engineering, and audit recommendations. Full and accurate documentation of such work and performance tracking is required.
    4. Serves as the data center’s on-site point of contact. Acts as a customer liaison to identify unmet needs.  Routinely seeks customer feedback and measures satisfaction levels.  Assists in business development and sales initiatives.
    5. Works closely with customers, service contractors, vendors, network carriers to direct and coordinate any service issue or system modification, upgrade, or expansion, and to address issues quickly, thoroughly, and effectively. May dispatch appropriate service contractors and data center personnel as required.
    6. Responsible for 24 X 7 monitoring the facilities’ electrical and mechanical capacities, taking corrective measures to ensure continuous operations, in a cost-effective manner.
    7. Responsible for monitoring all utilization of electrical power and room environments to proactively make recommendations increasing reliability and efficiency.
    8. Responsible for mechanical, electrical and network capacity planning and forecasts for future upgrades/expansions.
    9. Supervises Data Center Facility Technician and work assignments.
    10. Prepares annual budget requests and management of work orders, purchases orders and expense reporting.
    11. Main point of contact for data center audits, coordinating data collection and reviewing audit recommendations.
    12. Provides training and support to company and vendor personnel.
    13. Assures adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
