We are seeking a Network Engineer who is well-organized, self-directed & self-starting while being able to work well in an open team environment. This role will provide technical support to REI’s data communications network infrastructure by aligning with the company's strategic goals to ensure scalability and robustness. Although this position may have no direct reports, you may serve as a mentor for others in the department. Occasional visits to alternate work sites, on-call rotation as needed and working Monday-Friday are essential.
Position Summary
You will play an essential role of designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly secured network by installing, upgrading, and maintaining network routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, traffic shaping, wireless, and other network devices. Having the responsibility of communicating with other departments to provide secure segmented network(s) for development and R&D efforts. You will collaborate with IT security to align network infrastructure with the latest cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
