The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Operations Center (NOC) defends, manages, and monitors the network operating status and cyber security posture of the VA by providing the day-to-day management, monitoring, operations, and configuration of the Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) Gateways, the delivery of enterprise security systems and services, the conduct of threat and vulnerability analysis, the validation of adequate security controls within the enterprise, and the full range of functions across the spectrum of activities relating to incident management, incident response and enterprise network management.
We are looking for a qualified network engineer to support the Network Edge Operations team. You will work with a team of network engineers / administrators dedicated to serving this nations Veterans. The Network Edge Operations team is staffed 24/7/365 to maintain and analyze large, diversified networks comprised of enterprise grade networking equipment from a diverse set of vendors. Daily functions will include checking the status of various aspects of the VA’s network utilizing dedicated monitoring tools and processes as well as assisting with customer reported connectivity issues.
