JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for forecasting, ordering, receiving, and maintaining proper port installed options (PIO) inventory levels at all ports and truck production/modification facilities. Ensures adequate service parts coverage at parts distribution centers for related PIO parts that are also used for service demand. Communicates any new accessory part numbers and/or codes to appropriate parties. Provides analysis, reports (internal/external), cost reconciliation, budget monitoring, payment approval, and system support related to domestic and Japan sourced PIO parts. Coordinates daily with various port processors regarding part receipts as well as any part-related issues. Maintains supplier relationships with assigned vendors. Updates and maintains material part data records in the SAP system and reviews, reports, and helps solve any SAP system related discrepancies or issues. Provide updates to management as needed regarding supply issues or concerns.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reviews, analyzes, and maintains inventory levels for PIO parts at all diesel ports and production/modification facilities. Uses system tools such as SAP, sales reports, and production/wholesale estimates to create customized spreadsheets to determine monthly forecasts and order accordingly to ensure proper supply at the various port locations.
2. Works daily with assigned US and Japan suppliers, port processors, PDC personnel, and other parties to resolve any shipping, invoicing, and/or supply related issues.
3. Ensures all master data fields for responsible parts and accessory codes are loaded and maintained in SAP. Updates PIO labor rate information in SAP, which requires detailed annual review of data and manual updates within SAP. Must coordinate closely with various departments to ensure accuracy of data.
4. Advises management of any potential inventory supply related issues, presents recovery plan, and works to expedite product as necessary.
5. Gathers all active part numbers and PIO code data collected to annually update a “Master PIO List” that provides detailed P/N and accessory code information to other departments and the port processors.
6. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports to: Manager, Accessory Planning

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related work experience
• Experience involving data analysis, strong analytical skills, computers, and parts forecasting
• Minimum three years automotive/commercial vehicle parts and\or accessory supply chain support

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of Parts Inventory Control and Supply Management Principles
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle and PIO/parts supply practices and processes

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to interpret production and wholesale forecasts and extrapolate to appropriate PIO order quantities

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

Position is a desk job in a controlled office environment or remote/home office environment. The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position, which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports, or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.

Pay scale for this position is between $67,065 to $83,831. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
