    Senior Financial Analyst position will work closely with both the System Finance Planning team and the HR Total Rewards Center of Excellence (CoE) in reviewing and analyzing cost/benefit analysis for proposed projects and Employee Benefit plan design changes. Position requires maintaining a high level of confidentiality regarding data and information. Position reports through the Financial Planning department, maintaining core analytical skills with an

    emphasis on financial performance, but dedicates a significant amount of time on HR Total Rewards work and will maintain an informal reporting relationship to HR leadership. Other duties include ad hoc operational and financial analysis for special projects, monitoring cost and effectiveness of current benefit programs, preparing financial forecasts and budgets, and researching and explaining financial performance.

    Responsibilities

    Total Rewards Benefits Analysis:

    • Analyzes cost impacts of any and all proposed and/or potential benefits and compensation
    • changes, including scenario modeling for providing recommendations between multivariate options
    • Formulates results in an easy to understand manner for presentation and recommendation to
    • leadership
    • Collaborates with Total Rewards to assist in significant audit projects (i.e., annual retirement audit,
    • government audits, etc.).
    • Monitors and analyzes actual benefit program costs to identify financial trends early, making
    • recommendations based on the results of analysis
    • Creates assumptions for budgeting and forecasting as well as modeling and creating the actual
    • forecast/budget
    • Inputs data into financial planning systems to create financial plans and projections
    • Collaborate effectively with other team members and proactively work through ad hoc requests for
    • analysis
    • Maintains a strong focus on process improvement opportunities to increase the efficiency and/or
    • effectiveness of the process
    • Performs other duties as requested by HR leadership, including but not limited to the Executive
    • Director of Total Rewards

    Business Financial Analysis

    • Assists with financial planning and budgeting processes
    • Analyzes financial statements and reports and presents financial data using detailed reports and charts
    • Researches and prepares variance analysis and explanations
    • Understands key business drivers and provides financial guidance based on analytical processes performed
    • Analyzes differences through benchmarking and process analysis
    • Utilizes cost accounting to model future projections and identify areas for improvement
    • Maintains a strong focus on process improvement opportunities to increase the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the process
    • Performs other duties as requested by Finance leadership, including but not limited to the Director of Financial Planning & Management Reporting

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a financial analyst position
    • Financial analysis experience with Employee Benefits or HR projects preferred

    License(s)/Certification(s):

    • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to understand and communicate concepts and recommendations
    • Analytical, inquisitive, and pragmatic headset · Ability to handle confidential information
