Future Fires Strategic Planning and Analysis
Shall possess a bachelor’s degree and have at least ten years’ cumulative operational experience in either FA or ADA. Be able to describe the purpose and primary theme of the most recent Army Capstone, Operating, and Army Concept for Fires. Must have developed, reviewed and staffed concepts and or doctrine and related documents and publications. Must have written concepts, doctrine or related documents and publications for Army AMD and/or FA. Must have developed and presented briefings to flag officers or equivalent. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate conceptual ideas in writing and orally articulate thoughts to support the development of Army and Joint Fires concepts.

TASKS: GNI personnel shall prepare and provide reports, briefings, and technical interchanges internal to the FCoE and external agencies in the development of Future concepts and plans, and
shall attend and participate in working groups and draft input and revisions to the Fires Center of Excellence Campaign of Learning.
Person shall develop strategic plans for the Fires Warfighting Function and support for the development of the Fires Center of Excellence Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policies (DOTMLPF-P) products, and develop campaign plans, future system development strategies, doctrinal concepts, and coordination of ADA and FA comparable domains, course of action analysis and development, acquisition planning requirements, FCoE initiatives and strategic Fires Warfighting initiatives.
Person shall provide analytical, strategic planning and concept development support to Fires CDID to assist with planning, coordinating and implementing various Fires initiatives, and collect and analyze data, review documents, and attend and conduct meetings in support of the task objectives.
Support participation in the AFCs campaign of learning for the FCoE. Includes developing learning demands, collecting information gathered on the learning demands, analyzing the information, preparing recommendations to support concept development, and a quarterly meeting with all stakeholders to integrate the campaign of learning efforts. Assist in the planning and continued refinement of organization and operations (O&O) documents for the future force. Support development of Strategy documents. Develop Concept of Operations (CONOPS) Documents. Shall report and investigate all mishaps (including near mishaps) and submit a report on every mishap to the COR within five (5) working days of any mishap.
Travel Requirements: Work is performed primarily in an office setting, or by telework. Work may occasionally require data-gathering research trips overseas or within the United States.
