Description: Our client is seeking a skilled Network Analyst to manage and enhance our network systems. As a Network Analyst, you will diagnose and troubleshoot network issues, improve network architecture, and ensure system security. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware. The ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices is crucial. The goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks, providing maximum performance and availability for our users.
Responsibilities- Design and Deploy Networks:
- Create and implement LANs, WANs, and internet systems.
- Ensure efficient network setup and connectivity.
- Maintain and Improve Existing Networks:
- Monitor network performance to ensure availability for all system users.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Troubleshoot Network Issues:
- Identify and remedy network faults promptly.
- Configure and install various network devices and services.
- System Security and Documentation:
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies.
- Collaborate with network architects to design functional company networks.
- Prepare detailed network diagrams and layouts for setup and maintenance.
- Document network processes and changes for future reference and training.
- Stay Current with Networking Technologies:
- Keep up-to-date with new networking technologies.
- Make recommendations for improvements to the current network.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Technical Proficiency:
- Working knowledge of Cisco Routers (hardware and software).
- Familiarity with WAN links (MPLS, GigE, broadband).
- Understanding of Layer 2 protocols (VLANs, Spanning Tree).
- Proficiency in Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols.
- Experience with network packet capture tools (e.g., Wireshark, WildPackets).
- ITIL Foundations or familiarity with concepts such as Request, Incident, Problem, and Change.
- Ability to diagnose network communication anomalies using packet capture.
- Additional Skills (Flex Skills):
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
- Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Ansible).
- Troubleshooting complex enterprise environments.
- F5 administration.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and mentoring abilities.
Preferred Certifications and Experience- Active CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
- Any F5 certifications are advantageous.
- No degree requirement; equivalent years of experience considered (3-5 years).
