Business Planning Analyst
The focus of this position is to provide insights for Business planning, ERP system navigation, budgeting, and analytical skill application to support organizational decision‐making. Experience in business planning, supply chain, logistics, or financial analysis will be ideal for the position’s start.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for ensuring Demand and Supply assurance and Supply Chain performance of assigned portfolio of products.
· Analyze historical data to continuously improve forecast accuracy (past sales, trends, seasonality)
· Key driver for the monthly S&OP process ‐ responsible for the preparation of the consensus demand and sourcing/production forecast as part of the monthly S&OP process
· KPI reporting: responsible for monthly report of Demand & Supply Planning KPI’s (forecast outlook, forecast accuracy, consensus demand plan, % of change, S&OP report)
· Perform root cause analysis of inventory deviations vs targets and of inventory drivers and define improvement plans.
· Prepare monthly planning updates and present to the responsible trading team.
· Monitor key performance indicators and develop reports to track progress toward operational goals. Identify and resolve discrepancies in forecast, actuals, inventory, and cost.
· Collaborate with sales department, sourcing department, accounting, and finance department to monitor sales contract, purchase contract and inventory management.
· Collect market data and conduct thorough analysis to support decision‐making.
· Serve as a point of contact to the leadership team for any questions related to supply issues, resolution plans, inventory of assigned set of products.
Qualifications:
· 3 years’ experience working in Planning (Demand/Supply/Distribution) preferred but not required.
· Experience in or knowledge of Global Trade is preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred in Business, Economics, Statistics.
· Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, SAP IBP and BI tools
· Strong technical user knowledge of Office app (advanced Excel capabilities)
· Strong analytical skills, organizational and planning skills
· Strong communication skills: ability to work with all levels within the organization.
· Attention to details, working with high precision.
· Knowledge of production and capacity planning, demand planning and inventory management
· Ability of observe patterns and trends n data, determining root cause of issues and drawing proper conclusions from analysis.
· Experience in Forage environment would be a plus.
· Ability to cope with pressure and conflicting demands.
· Ability to take initiative proactively and work independently after being given direction is essential for success in the position.
