Job Summary: The Project Specialist is responsible for carrying out the technical phases of enterprise radio system deployments during the pre-sale and post-sale stages of a project. They report to and work with the Director of Sales and Engineering to initially outline project scope, define technical solutions for sales opportunities, and execute all contractual technical deliverables. They will work directly with customer project managers and in-house technical staff to successfully design and implement enterprise radio systems that meet project commitments.
Overview: Act as a technical resource to support the sales life-cycle of Motorola MOTOTRBO Systems from qualification through award and from award to final acceptance. Work with sales team and customers to understand requirements for system equipment list generation and proposal development. Leads small to large scale new system projects. Works alongside Field Service technicians to complete system staging, configuration, implementation, and system cutovers. Works alongside Service technicians to complete programming of equipment. Configures computers, networking equipment, two-way radio subscribers and infrastructure to commission new enterprise radio systems and associated sub-systems. Completes final technical documentation and deliverables for new systems. Conducts and/or assists in customer facing trainings of newly installed systems Troubleshoots and provides technical support to existing enterprise radio systems and associated sub-systems. Performs other related duties as assigned. Travels when needed (<10%).
Preferred Skills & Experience: Self-motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors Must be highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Viso Strong knowledge in networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, routing, and switching). Strong knowledge with workstation/server hardware and software configuration Ability to understand programming logic and design Ability to work both in office setting and in-field environments with hands-on work Knowledge of R.F. systems, such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks is preferred
