The State of New Hampshire, Insurance Department has a full-time vacancy for Health Law and Policy Legal Counsel.
SUMMARY:
Administers and coordinates all legal, policy-related, and legislative objectives of the Insurance Department on matters of health law and health policy with responsibility to serve as primary legal counsel for all regulatory matters relating to major medical insurance coverage and managed care. Coordinates with federal regulatory bodies relating to health insurance and manages the legal aspects of the Department’s response to all evolving health insurance-related regulatory issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: J.D. from an American Bar Association recognized law school.
Experience: Six years' experience in the active practice of law.
Special Qualifications: Must be an active member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and in Good Standing.
License/Certification: Valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for statewide travel.

Ability to develop administrative and statistical reports with evidence and recommendations. Willingness to spend periods of time out-of-state. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
