Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor jobs in South Dakota
Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises personnel engaged in diagnostic laboratory testing. Performs assigned phases of nuclear research under the guidance of Director of Nuclear Medicine. Being a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor assists medical students with hands-on instruction and equipment training. Monitors inventory of radioisotopes. Additionally, Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine. The Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are seeking an ambitious Nuclear Medicine Technologist, experienced or new graduate, to join our talented team in this highly impactful role.
**May be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $30,000**
Position Highlights:
- Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.
Job Summary
Performs basic and complex in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine procedures for inpatients and outpatients. This position supports the function of nuclear medicine scans for the diagnosis and treatment of numerous diseases and disease processes. Join a growing field in Theranostic Treatment.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- Successful completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training program required.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

- This position is located in Sioux Falls. Working at Avera McKennan or North Central Heart location.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $31.75 - $48.00 per hour
