Nutrition Director directs and oversees all aspects of an organization's or institution's nutrition guidelines and initiatives. Oversees institution of basic nutrition plans including individualized menu plans and monitors intake and acceptance of meals, snacks, and supplements. Being a Nutrition Director monitors and ensures proper nutrition education is provided. May oversee menu planning or food service operations. Additionally, Nutrition Director requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Typically reports to top management. The Nutrition Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Nutrition Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     General Purpose and Scope of Position:

    The Wilbur-Ellis Facility is primarily involved in the mixing, processing, and transferring of animal feed ingredients. We’re seeking a Plant Operator to assist in all aspects of plant production, quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness. This is a temporary position.

    Key Skills and Abilities Include:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
    • Willingness to operate material handling equipment including a forklift, skid steer, and other equipment as required
    • Ability to repetitively lift packages up to 50Lb. (or 110Lb. with a partner) while working in a non-climate controlled dusty environment
    • Good math and organizational skills
    • Able to follow written and verbal directions and complete necessary documentation. The ability to read and write English is required
    • Willing to work overtime hours as needed

    Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

    • Learn and train all roles required at the plant (mixing, bagging, forklift, container loading, etc.)
    • Operate and maintain processing equipment as outlined in SOP’s
    • Maintain facility cleanliness throughout all operations
    • Perform Quality Control while handling products
    • Accurately document tasks performed (processing, maintenance, cleaning, etc.)
    • Warehousing includes receiving, shipping, and organizing
    • Follow all safety, regulatory, and administrative policies and procedures
    • Able to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook
    • Perform any other duties assigned by management professionally and efficiently

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $17.64 - $23.54 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
