Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.     Salary Range: $65,866.80-$73,744.00 (DOE/DOQ)

    Shift: 48/96 Rotation


    Summary

    The Paramedic Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all units in their assigned area, while providing a family-oriented workplace environment. As a supervisor, you will work with a multi-generational workforce of varying skill and capability in the provision of 911 service to Cherokee County. Additionally, the Field Supervisor will respond to requests for service in their assigned Quick Response Vehicle, as requested by the county communications center and in accordance with organizational policy. These requests will often include higher acuity responses (e.g.: unconscious/cardiac arrest, motor vehicle collision with entrapment, etc.). The supervisor is responsible for building and maintaining a positive workplace culture, effectively leading teams, and mentoring/coaching team members. The supervisor will regularly work with members of the public safety and healthcare community, in addition to coordinating public relations activities.


    Qualifications:

    • Meets all requirements of a Thorne Ambulance Service Paramedic
    • Traffic Incident Management (TIM) training (preferred)
    • 5 years of 911 paramedic experience with progressive career advancement, including education/certifications
    • Advanced Incident Command System training (e.g.: NIMS 300 & 400)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • AHA/ASHI Instructor (preferred)
    • Self-Starter & Empathetic Approach


    Responsibilities & Scope of Work:

    • Provides leadership oversight to a minimum of 14 personnel per shift
    • Response, treatment, and transportation of patients in accordance with organizational policy, industry standards, and the provider’s scope of practice.
    • Provides rehab services during fireground operations and other emergency situations, as requested and/or based upon resource availability.
    • Required to respond to perceived life-threatening requests (e.g.: cardiac arrests, MVA with entrapment, etc.) & as ALS backup as needed/requested.
    • Compassionate care delivered with clinical excellence, and with customer service in mind.
    • Project a professional image through positive community interactions, adherence to uniform standards, and through positive body language.
    • Timely completion of patient care reports and submission by end of shift, and the assurance that all team members submit reports by the close of shift.
    • Review of patient care reports for quality assurance/improvement opportunities, working with Clinical Manager and Medical Control Physician.
    • Communicate compliments and investigate concerns received for team members and/or specific responses.
      • Disciplinary action and coaching as necessary and in accordance with organizational policy.
    • Attend meetings as requested by organizational leadership
    • Coordinate/attend public relations activities as requested
    • Maintain all apparatus in DHEC/TAS compliance and participate in random and annual DHEC inspections.
    • Completion and oversight of daily unit check sheets and assurance that equipment is on-board and in working order/of required quantities
    • District familiarity to promote crew safety and improve response times
    • Maintenance of quarters and units in accordance with organizational policy, submitting repair/maintenance requisitions as necessary
    • Collaboration with other public safety professionals and allied health professionals, including aeromedical services.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move 150lbs independently (300lbs with a partner) while demonstrating safe maneuvers and patient lifting competency.
    • Be able and willing to be seated, standing, walking, etc. for long periods of time
    • Ability to work in extreme temperatures based on environmental conditions.
    • Ability to successfully mitigate stressful situations with co-workers, other healthcare providers, patients, and the public.
    • Flexibility to respond to emergency requests during assigned shift.

    Additional Information:

    All personnel selected for employment with Thorne Ambulance Service, LLC will be required to complete and pass a drug screen, criminal background, OIG exclusion, and sex offender registry check. Selected candidates must have a motor vehicle record sufficient to gain driver clearance from Thorne's insurance carrier.
