Operating Room Services Director oversees the daily operations of the surgery department. Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting. Being an Operating Room Services Director may oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. May require a master's degree in a related area. Additionally, Operating Room Services Director typically reports to an executive. The Operating Room Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Operating Room Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.
Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary/Travel/Contract)
Shift: 5x8 Days

Requirements:- Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
- Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
- Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
- Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
- Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
