Ophthalmic Technician provides technical services to assigned ophthalmic patients and assists ophthalmologists or optometrists in the examination and treatment of eye disorders. Takes patient history, conducts visual acuity screenings, and performs various technical procedures, including refractometry, tonometry, lensometry, and keratometry. Being an Ophthalmic Technician prepares patients for exams and procedures. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes ophthalmic equipment and instruments. Additionally, Ophthalmic Technician may assist physicians in performing minor surgical and laser procedures. May dispense contact lenses. Typically requires an associate degree. May require Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). May require Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT). Typically reports to a manager. BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists is looking for an Ophthalmic Assistant / Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. This position is part time between Monday-Friday, with 8-hour day shifts. No Holidays! No Weekends!

BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists offers more specialty services than any other provider in northeastern Wisconsin and we are the largest Ophthalmology practice north of Milwaukee, with five locations in northeastern Wisconsin. We have a highly trained, collaborative team of ophthalmologists, most of whom specialize in one aspect of eye health. We have cornea, glaucoma, retina, pediatric and oculoplastic specialists.
