Organizational Psychologist studies and assesses the organizations workforce, management, culture, business objectives, and challenges using psychological principles and research methods. Designs and develops programs and tools that will be appropriate for the needs of the organization and which will assist employees and management to better achieve desired goals. Being an Organizational Psychologist utilizes various methods including employee surveys, focus groups, skill assessments, performance appraisals, and other feedback mechanisms to assist management in identifying issues and driving improvements. Creates solutions and programs that may be focused on employee selection, job training, leadership training, workplace and family issues, and change management. Additionally, Organizational Psychologist requires a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Organizational Psychologist works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.   • JOB DESCRIPTION Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the Psychologist independently provides school-based psychological assessment, treatment, and consultation for students attending the Bradley Schools. Staff Psychologists also may provide supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and/or postdoctoral psychology trainees. RESPONSIBILITIES •Keeping current and knowledgeable regarding the medical, developmental, and family histories, clinical diagnoses, and treatment protocols of students on assigned teams. •Providing quality clinical services to all assigned students. •Providing leadership and role modeling to multidisciplinary staff in maintaining a standard of high-quality care for all students within the school program. •Reviewing all available student records prior to admission for students on assigned teams and sharing relevant information with the appropriate team members. •Overseeing and coordinating plans for the assessment, treatment, and education of all students in assigned classrooms. •Leading weekly team meetings, as well as formal meetings that include parents, school district personnel, or other community professionals (e.g., IEP/PPT meetings, behavioral reviews, transition planning meetings) for all students in assigned classrooms. •Producing high-quality team reports, letters, or other required documentation in a timely manner. •Using effective leadership, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills to maintain effective functioning of assigned teams. •Maintaining a balance of clinical and systemic perspectives in leading assigned teams. •Providing diagnostic assessment services for students, as needed. •Supervising the interpretation of classroom-based assessment data in the planning, implementation, and review phases of treatment for students. •Providing case management, as assigned. •Providing individual, family, and/or group therapy, as assigned. •Providing consultation regarding behavior management, as assigned. •Providing outpatient consultation, as assigned. •Completing all required psychological reports and records in a professional and timely manner, as assigned. •Providing in-service education opportunities for school staff, as well as in the community, as requested. •Performing other leadership duties, as assigned. REQUIREMENTS •Requires a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, as well as state licensure or eligibility for state licensure. A postdoctoral fellowship in a relevant area is preferred. Consideration may be given to licensed psychologists with doctorates in Counseling or School Psychology, if they evidence specific skill in providing clinical/administrative services within the Bradley School or similar settings. •Requires demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to school-aged youth, with consideration of developmental processes, as well as cultural, familial, and individual factors that may influence educational, emotional, and behavioral functioning and progress. •One to two years of supervised postdoctoral experience within the field of Clinical Child and Adolescent psychology preferred. •Work is within a school classroom and/or office environment. Employees in this position work in a special education setting under stressful conditions associated with care of students with severe emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental challenges (which may include aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors).
