Position Summary:

The Outpatient Clinics manager is responsible for leading the daily and administrative functions in an ambulatory setting. The position is instrumental in defining the goals, budget needs, and performance standards for the clinic and communicating them to staff. The manager must work effectively with providers, patients, and interdepartmental leaders and demonstrate sound judgement, problem solving, and decision making using supportive information and evidence-based care.

Essential Functions:

• Serves as the supervisor and coordinator to nursing staff, medical scribes, unlicensed assistive personnel and support staff working within the assigned specialties
• Assists Clinic Director to establish and reach quality of care goals and objectives.
• Ensures area of responsibility if compliant for following policies, and procedures within the clinic and regulatory standards.
• Monitors inventory and places orders for resupply. Utilizes resources responsibly, taking into account financial monitoring and analyzing and developing action plans to correct variances.
• Demonstrates the leadership skills of negotiation, motivation, conflict management, and personnel development, fostering the goal of teambuilding among clinic staff
• Maintains up to date knowledge on Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines impacting clinic operations.
• Responds to or delegates response to patient or provider incidents within 24 hours
• Communicates consistently with staff through routine team meetings and other communication forms
• Attends at least 75% of clinic leadership meetings.
• Identifies new service opportunities and evaluates equipment needs, and seeks opportunities for improved quality of care, safety, and efficiency
• Follows patient satisfaction scores for the clinic and takes corrective actions to meet target goals.
• Ensures employee competence is maintained through continuing education, competency compliance, and sound orientation processes and documentation.
• Leads by example demonstrating the use of the organization’s core values to guide decisions and actions.
• Responsible for hiring, developing, evaluating, counseling, discipline and terminating personnel within established organizational policies and procedures for direct reports.

The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital’s goals and objectives.

Position Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in management, business, or healthcare related field, (Bachelor’s Preferred)
• Proven experience working in a managerial or leadership position in a clinical or medical setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service with a client focus

Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
