Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is an asset
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience supervising or leading a team is preferred
