PC Support Manager manages a team that provides personal computer deployment and support, including setup, installation, repairs, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting. Maintains the necessary hardware and software inventory and oversees the administration of required licenses. Being a PC Support Manager analyzes PC resource requirements and evaluates available vendors, products, and services that will meet the organization's needs. Implements training programs and develops documentation to support end-users. Additionally, PC Support Manager possesses experience in a LAN environment, a strong understanding of PC operating systems, security tools, and extensive knowledge of all commonly used PC software and products. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The PC Support Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a PC Support Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • firstPRO is seeking skilled PC Support Technicians to join our customer's PC Support Team. These hands-on roles involve configuring computers for Windows 11 upgrade/replacement, deploying new computers, providing on-site technical support, and resolving technical problems. These roles are a consulting opportunity and will be onsite in the Lehigh Valley region.

    Responsibilities

    • Configure computers for Windows 11 upgrade/replacement following checklists to ensure customer satisfaction and data/application accuracy.
    • Deploy new computers to end-users, reclaim old computers, and update asset management inventory data.
    • Provide on-site technical support, using a consultative approach, to end-users on hardware, software, security, and network connectivity.
    • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
    • Image and deploy devices.
    • Communicate information in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Maintain inventory records of hardware and peripherals.
    • Adhere to technology-defined standards and policies.

    Requirements

    • 2 years of PC hardware experience (preferred within a clinical setting).
    • Attention to detail and ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
    • Intricate knowledge of mobile devices, networking, personal computers, printers, and computer terminology.
    • Knowledge of network protocols, computer hardware/software, and peripherals.
    • Experience in post-installation support.
    • Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 environment and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
    • Working knowledge of printer/scanner installation, configuration, and support.
    • Working experience with break/fix.
    • Experience with disk encryption applications such as BitLocker is a plus.
    • SCCM knowledge is a plus.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Must be friendly, courteous, presentable, service-oriented, flexible, and enjoy working with all levels of staff.
    • Must be able to visit multiple business and education locations in the Lehigh Valley region.

    Job Type: Contract

    Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
