Job Overview:
We are seeking a Pet Crematory Operator to join our team. As a Pet Crematory Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the cremation equipment, ensuring the respectful and proper handling of deceased pets. This role requires heavy lifting, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the pet cremation equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow established procedures for the respectful handling and processing of deceased pets
- Prepare pets for cremation, including placing them in the cremation chamber
- Monitor and adjust temperature settings during the cremation process
- Ensure proper identification and tracking of pets throughout the cremation process
- Clean and maintain the cremation equipment and work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with funeral directing or related field is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
