Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Package Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Manager and Supervisors. The Assistant Project Manager will establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Sub-contractors, and Suppliers. Below are the qualifications we are looking for:
- Assist with the review and analysis of subcontractor proposals to determine low responsible bidder
- Assist with the preparation, and monitoring of subcontracts, contract purchase orders, agreement change orders, and change order requests
- Ensure preparation and implementation of project cost codes
- Review the subcontract pre-billing worksheets, pay estimate breakdowns and monthly progress payment request, and monitor payment receipts and disbursements
- Monitor and control change orders to subcontractors, including timely notification and adjustments to contracts
- Review submittal data for conformance with the project documents
- Manage the Request for Information process
- Assist with the development of, and regular updates to, the project schedule and
- Assist with project related meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and issuance of minutes
- Fundamental knowledge of computer operations and the following applications: Procore, Microsoft Project or P6 scheduler, Microsoft Office 360 Apps, and Bluebeam.
- Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor, and Woodward relationships following the Woodward philosophy.
- Ability to perform job duties by following Woodward’s core values (Reliability, Courage, Teamwork, Determination, and Humility).
