Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Assistant Park Ranger
This is a full time, NON- permanent field position, which works a forty-hour rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Under general supervision, assists with overall park operation, administrative, and maintenance duties in accordance with the Department. Duties will include but are not limited to collecting and accounting for revenue, routine maintenance, and Interpretation. Assist with operations to include public use areas, retail operations, and other park facilities. Assist with maintaining a safe work environment. Enforcement of rules and regulations of the park. Assist with programs that are designed to help educate public on cultural and natural resources of the State Park Service.
