Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastor to join our church community. The Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance, leading worship services, and supporting the congregation in their spiritual journey. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of Baptist principles and doctrine.
Duties:
- Lead worship services, including preaching sermons and delivering inspiring messages
- Provide pastoral care and counseling to individuals and families in need
- Conduct baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other religious ceremonies
- Teach and educate the congregation on religious principles and values
- Organize and lead Bible study groups, prayer meetings, and other spiritual gatherings
- Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to plan and coordinate events and activities
- Engage with the community through outreach programs and initiatives
- Offer guidance and support to church members in times of crisis or conflict
- Manage administrative tasks related to the church's operations
Qualifications:
- Ordained/ licensed as a Pastor
- Strong knowledge of the Bible
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to write and deliver engaging sermons that resonate with the congregation
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire others
- Proficient in conflict management and resolution
- Experience counseling
- Ability to plan and organize events effectively
- Compassionate, empathetic, and able to provide support during difficult times
