Job Description
The Imaging Patient Transporter is primarily responsible for transporting patients from one area of the hospital to another and assisting imaging personnel with routine tasks of patient care which are learned on the job.
The job requires serving as a lift team primarily for Imaging staff and other hospital personnel. This position can involve performing chest compression during a code blue and assisting in crisis prevention interaction of patients.
The Imaging Patient Transporter is required to complete the department orientation program with CPI and CPR certification.
The position supports the goals and functions of the organization and performs his duties within established ethical, legal, and organizational standards.
The Imaging Patient Transporter promotes a stable relaxed working atmosphere among fellow employees through congeniality, consideration, and efficiency.
Also, the Imaging Patient Transporter demonstrates the ability to be self-directed during slow periods to assist in the following ways.
Assisting with transporting patient's records, and equipment to designated areas throughout the hospital. Basic computer knowledge may be utilized to retrieve clinical reports for medical staff and assist visitors with the location of patients.
Assisting in housekeeping duties and responsibilities as needed.
