Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Payroll Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     THE OPPORTUNITY

    Our team is growing! We are looking to add an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our employees are compensated accurately and on time, reflecting our appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and direct our payroll procedures.
    • Ensure we're in compliance with all payroll laws and tax obligations.
    • Continually develop systems to payroll process.
    • Coordinate our timekeeping and payroll systems.
    • Take charge of processing payroll changes and system upgrades.
    • Make sure we're following all the relevant laws and internal policies.
    • Manage payroll tax audits like a pro.
    • Collaborate with our Human Resources (HR, private-equity partners, and accounting teams).
    • Keep accurate records and prepare impressive reports.
    • Be the go-to person for resolving payroll-related questions and issues.
    • Take ownership and contribute to other exciting business activities as assigned.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • Deep knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
    • You're a multi-location payroll and taxes whiz.
    • Skills with payroll software/HRIS and MS Office (especially Excel).
    • Attention to detail.
    • Top-notch communication, organizational, and leadership skills
    • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Bonus for holding professional certifications like CPP or CPM.
