Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Pay:
This is an exempt/salary position. The pay range is $50,000 - $70,000. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
Location/Travel Requirements: This position is located in our Rapid City, South Dakota corporate office.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for computing, classifying and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate. The accountant also performs routine financial calculations and general ledger duties. This position will provide support to the Controller with the monthly close process, accounting and analysis for contracts and job costs, and accounting research. This position must perform all of this work while abiding by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
