Typically reports to a supervisor. The Personnel Records Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Key Duties of the Accounts Payable Assistant:
    • Process received invoices from vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Thoroughly validate the correctness of invoices, purchase orders, and other financial records.
    • Associate invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receipts.
    • Code and input invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accurate allocation to the appropriate accounts and departments.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any inconsistencies that arise.
    • Prepare and execute regular weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payment batches, encompassing checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
    • Engage with vendors to effectively address invoicing discrepancies and issues.
    • Assist in projects and administrative functions as required.
    Requirements for the Accounts Payable Assistant Role:
    • 1 year of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
    • Profound familiarity with the principles, practices, and protocols of accounts payable.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Remarkable attention to detail and precision in both data entry and financial calculations.
