Pharmacy Director jobs in Columbia, SC
Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Pharmacy Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivery of Prescription.
- Process OTC Order
- Help with Pick up prescription
- Process prescription and scan prescriptions
- Change NDC
- Hipaa
- Get Prescriptions Delivery Ready and delivery to patient house
- Closing register
- Type and process prescription
- Accurately fill prescriptions
- Deliver medications
- Provide excellent customer service
- Receive and stock merchandise within the Pharmacy
- Maintain Pharmacy presentation by ensuring shelves are full, clean, and signed appropriately
- Clean Desk, Bathrooms and mop Whole Pharmacy
- Call Patient promptly when prescription is ready.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
