Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Our Pharmacy Techs serve to support Pharmacists by maintaining the highest levels of customer relations, processing and filing functions as deemed necessary by the pharmacist in charge. Techs also receive prescription or medication orders, assist with software systems, assist with ordering medication and inventory control, as well as other duties as assigned.
