Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in Nebraska

Our agency is growing and we are adding a Physical Therapist to our team.

JOB SUMMARY:  To provide optimal physical therapy care to clients.  Observation, evaluation, treating and training, direct therapy procedures and overall development of an individualized therapy program.  Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt without difficulty.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in acute care settings, such as hospitals is preferred.
• Specialized training in trigger point therapy and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide all therapeutic interventions that require the expertise of a physical therapist.
2. Determine the appropriate use of physical therapist assistants or physical therapy aides.
3. Manage all aspects of physical therapy services provided to the patient and assume legal liability for physical therapy and related services provided under your supervision.
4. Provide initial evaluation and documentation of the evaluation.
5. Provide periodic reevaluation and documentation of the reevaluation.
6. Provide documentation for discharge; including the patients response to therapeutic intervention at the time of discharge.
7. Accurately billing and documentation for services provided.
8. Other duties as assigned.
