Physician Assistant - Primary Care assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Being a Physician Assistant - Primary Care orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Administers therapeutic procedures as directed. Additionally, Physician Assistant - Primary Care scope of practice is limited to family medicine and primary care. Requires a master's degree in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Summary of Position
A Certified Medical Assistant for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.

Nature and Scope
Independently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate
2. Qualified applicants must be a Certified Medical Assistant, and will have graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
3. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred
4. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
5. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service
standards.
6. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
7. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
8. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
9. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
