HR Generalist

• 
  Serve our team by coordinating human resources activities
• Perform such tasks as coordinating employee reviews, meeting safety and compliance expectations, employee training, administering benefits, and overseeing the payroll process
• Oversee the recruitment, interview, and onboarding processes
• Administer benefit packages & remain compliant
• Answer employee questions regarding payroll & benefits
• Keep employee files organized & filed
• Initiate annual employee reviews
• Update the employee handbook with management guidance
• Partner with managers to address performance issues early on to prevent little problems from becoming big problems
• Write job descriptions & post open positions
• Assist in planning company events
• Screen applicants and assist in maintaining the funnel
• Recruit by networking, brainstorming, and promoting the company's awareness
• Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding while working with individuals from various backgrounds, including conservative Anabaptists
• Love the employees and live out the core values daily
• Respect company guidelines and help promote internally

Our Ideal HR Generalist:

• Experienced: Related experience and/or training in HR, benefits & compliance, and payroll.
• Computer: Proficient in or can quickly learn Microsoft Office Suite & Excel.
• Communication Skills: Excellent writing, communication & analytical skills. Able to collaborate, motivate & instruct.
• Relational: Ability to connect with people on the team and gain their trust & respect.
• Detail-Oriented: Organized & accurate with critical areas like payroll, employee files, & benefits.
• Flexible: Ability to prioritize a long to-do list and adapt your schedule to fit the day's needs; able to work on multiple projects/tasks confidently & meet deadlines.
• Professional: Ability to work respectfully with teammates on every level.
• Positive Attitude: Your experience is not as important as your attitude. We are looking for someone who is friendly and a good team player.
