The Lifespan Physician Group and affiliated hospitals of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Newport Hospital) are recruiting a board certified psychiatrist to serve as the Division Director of Outpatient Psychiatry. This position requires a high level of clinical administrative leadership and reports to the Psychiatrist-in-Chief, Assistant Chiefs and Director of Operations.
About the job:- 80% clinical time, 20% administrative time
- Act as the liaison across the Lifespan system for all clinical and academic matters within the division of Outpatient Psychiatry
- Evaluate the current treatment programs with a goal of ensuring high quality care while maintaining fiscal responsibility and achieving financial growth
- Develop innovative programs within the division to enhance treatment across the health system
- Participate with educational initiatives across the health system
- Academic appointment to the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team
- See a broad spectrum of patients with a variety of diagnoses
- Physician, board certified in Psychiatry
- 5 years’ experience
- Demonstratable leadership qualities
- Hold or have the ability to obtain a RI license
- Interest is developing and implementing new and innovative treatment across the service line
- Competitive compensation, sign on bonus and relocation allowance

- 4 weeks PTO
- 1 week of CME with a $3,500 stipend
