Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join Central Florida Rheumatology Consultants, located in Greater Orlando. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in rheumatology, demonstrating proficiency in medical assessments and treatment planning. The rheumatology NP/PA will be working alongside a board certified rheumatologist. The position is part time (16-24 hours per week) however full time hours will be considered based on applicant request.
Responsibilities
Conduct in office patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and pertinent diagnostic assessments.
Collaborate with the supervising physician to formulate diagnoses & personalized treatment plans.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, feedback, and changes in medical status.
Educate patients about the benefits of lifestyle changes and empower them to take an active role in their health management.
Provide clear and concise explanations of treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications to patients and their families.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date EMRs for all patients.
Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care and to continually improve systems, workflows, knowledge base, etc.
Stay current with advancements in rheumatology and lifestyle medicine through continuous learning, attending conferences, and engaging in professional development activities.
Maintain all licenses and certifications required for your position & jurisdiction of practice.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Florida state licensure and/or registration as a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, compliant with local regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using EMRs and medical software.
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
