The Safety Manager is responsible for monitoring and assessing working conditions to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees. The Safety Manager will work with the safety department to ensure compliance with CAL OSHA health and safety requirements.
• Strategize and implement Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs• Instruct and lead employees on various safety-related topics• Plan/prepare educational training on safety programs and policies• Review and upkeep of existing IIPP/Sub-programs• Partner with Risk Management/HR on Workman Compesation injuries and incident reduction• Manage and review current employee safety onboarding process• Implement preventive measures based upon risk assessment findings• Enroll and hire new safety employees• Train, manage, and supervise safety staff• Specify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions• Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations, create reports accordingly• Plan and present reports on accidents and violations• Audit construction worksites across Southern California and Las Vegas• Manage environmental programs to maintain compliance• Facilitate safety initiatives and incentive programs• Assemble and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance• Document meeting minutes, and reports collected for management• Inspect main facilities (Corona, El Cajon, Las Vegas) for safety compliance• Track incident metrics and apply outcomes
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred (read and write proficiently) • Must have Field Construction Safety Experience• A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety preferred or a related field experience • Certificate in occupational health and safety (Construction and Gen Industry)• OSHA 10, 30, 500, Certified Safety Manager or Professional a plus• At least three years’ experience as a safety manager or in a similar role• Knowledge of legislation and procedures• At least two years of experience in producing reports• Experience with writing policies and techniques for health and safety• Proficiency of conducting data analysis and reporting statistics• Proficient In MS office, Excel, PPT• Outstanding organizational skills• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills• Team player• Management skills• Outstanding interpersonal skills
Pay range: $80,000 - $115,000 annually depending on experience
