Pipelines Director directs the daily operational aspects of natural gas and crude oil pipeline. Participates in strategic development of pipelines and responsible for creating budget guidelines. Being a Pipelines Director ensures that the regulations, industry standards, production targets, and quality standards are met. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Pipelines Director typically reports to top management. The Pipelines Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Pipelines Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Position Summary:
    This position leads a team of creative professionals to advance the institution's mission through the development, execution and dissemination of exciting, innovative, and effective marketing concepts and campaigns that are delivered across multiple platforms. They are the primary leader responsible for establishing the brand of the university across all platforms and mediums and leading the overall strategy for major marketing efforts on behalf of the University of Idaho (U of I). This position plays a central role in achieving the institution's goal of ensuring effective engagement with the university's many core constituents and helping the University of Idaho retain and improve on its position as an innovative and leading public research university. They work closely with the Co-CMO and other members of the University Communications and Marketing leadership team to create a progressive, unified, metrics-driven organization dedicated to serving the university's interests, including those of the students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

    Duties may include:
    • Building internal capacity, strategy and cross campus support for all U of I campaigns
    • Overseeing the U of I's paid advertising efforts
    • Leading the team through concept, messaging, and development of campaigns that reinforce the U of I's goals and build brand awareness and affinity with key audiences
    • Working closely with the UCM communications team to ensure message consistency through all earned media initiatives
    • Creating a team-oriented work environment, motivating staff and cultivating productive relationships across campus to innovate, collaborate, and reach and exceed stated goals
    • Other duties as assigned






    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications, or public relations
    Five years working in the marketing / brand development / social media space to include three years of each of the following:
    • Writing marketing plans
    • Analyzing marketing data to inform marketing direction
    • Directing creative development
    • Supervising and directing the work of individuals or leading project teams
    • Managing media buys
    • Web authoring experience
    • Social Media management
    • Content Marketing story identification, development and versioning specific to published platforms
    • Graphic Design experience
    • Photo and video shoot art direction
    • Agency management






    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience producing personalized marketing content for segmented audiences
    • Experience using content management systems (CMS) and other distribution tools, including web, email, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
    • Knowledge of university advancement and fundraising practices and corresponding marketing strategies
    • Experience using computer software applications for photo editing, social media platforms content posts and project management
    • Demonstrable excellent written and oral communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to enhancing diversity through inclusive design and language
    • Strong understanding of enrollment best practices that includes undergrad recruitment, transfer students, grad students, dual credit and digital / online learners
    • Understanding of SEO best practices with a portfolio of data to support experience
    • Proven experience spinning up concepts and scaling to meet the needs of the brand
