Job Summary:
The Scheduler at Almost Family - Eugene is responsible for managing and coordinating the schedules of our caregivers to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of care for our clients. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a background in healthcare or medical scheduling. As a management role, the Scheduler will be responsible for overseeing a team and working closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our services in Eugene, Oregon.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive compensation package of $19 to $21 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, Almost Family offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. Hours are Monday to Friday 8a-5p with on call duties that are shared with other office staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain schedules for caregivers based on clients needs and availability
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper staffing levels and adequate coverage for client care
- Communicate with clients and their families to schedule and confirm appointments and provide any necessary information or instructions
- Utilize scheduling software
- Monitor and track employee attendance and time-off requests
- Work closely with HR to onboard and orient new employees, including scheduling training and orientation sessions
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and streamline scheduling processes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and regulations related to scheduling and client care
- Handle any scheduling emergencies and address any scheduling conflicts or issues in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with other departments to improve overall service delivery and patient satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare or medical scheduling, preferably in a management or leadership role
- Proficiency with computers and basic programs like excel and word
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
