Printer completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Printer conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Printer completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Printer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Element Graphics Inc. is searching for an experienced, professional screen printer to cover a 6 week absence. We are a small shop with one manual, 6 platen screen press. Must be able to wash screens, prepare screens with emulsion, burn screens and print on garments. All items are ordered to print with little/no extra inventory on hand for mistakes. Attention to detail is key. We are usually scheduled out 2 to 3 weeks with screen printing orders with orders ranging from 5 shirts to 500.
