    Advanced Plastics is a custom plastic injection molding company with facilities in the Mt. Hood Industrial Park in Sandy, OR. We have been in business for over 35 years and we are steadily growing with the help of our employees.

    We are currently hiring production supervisors for our production team. Swing has a 10% shift differential, and graveyard has a 20% shift differential. We are looking for energetic candidates to be a part of our team. Advancement is available as specific skills are learned.

    Position: Production Supervisor

    Location: Advanced Plastics, Mt. Hood Industrial Park, Sandy, OR

    Shifts Available: Day, Swing (10% shift differential) and Graveyard (20% shift differential)

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise machine operators, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and procedures
    • Ensure team members receive breaks and lunches as scheduled
    • Conduct spot checks on team members' quality control activities
    • Coordinate and assemble all paperwork for current orders being worked
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
    • Set up for the next shift, ensuring no stray materials or trash, and preparing boxes, paperwork, and stickers
    Pay: Based on experience

    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure team members meet quality control standards and follow established procedures
    • Oversee inspection of molded parts for defects and proper handling of products
    • Monitor machine operation and temperature, reporting dysfunction if necessary
    • Label boxes or pallets, identify material types and colors
    • Ensure production goals and quotas are met
    • Maintain cleanliness in the work area
    Maintenance:

    • Knowledge of grinders, ability to lockout and clean
    • Hand mix color and virgin material
    • Clean and protect molds during shutdown
    Additional Functions:

    • Use scale for part count as instructed
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:

    • Ability to supervise and communicate effectively with team members
    • Ability to read and interpret documents
    • Capacity to perform tasks quickly and accurately, multitask, and collaborate with others
    Physical Requirements:

    • Manual work with plastic products (trimming, assembling, etc.)
    • Sitting and/or standing for two-hour intervals during an eight-hour shift
    • Lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing up to 55 lbs
    Job Type: Full-time

    Work Environment:

    • On-site
    • No remote work
    Expected Hours: 40 per week

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
    Schedule:

    • 8-hour shifts
    • Day, evening, and night shifts available
