Professor - Civil Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of civil engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Civil Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Civil Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Co-op for Fall 2024 in our Marlborough, MA office. You will work with experienced engineers and will be exposed to a wide range of projects for a variety of private clients and public agencies. Types of projects you could expect to be exposed to include energy-generating facilities, stormwater planning and improvements, and international development. Project work will include support of ArcGIS database development, preparation of design plans, completion of field investigations and inspections, and assistance with technical reports.
Tetra Tech co-op opportunities are designed to provide actual professional experience to engineering students. Our co-ops are primarily supervised by our engineers who assist with day-to-day questions and prepare the individual to solve problems while completing assigned projects or portions of projects.
Qualifications:
- Working towards a degree in Civil Engineering
- Has the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Can meet quality standards and deadlines
- Interest in developing strong AutoCAD skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience
- Experience with ArcGIS is a plus
