POSITION SUMMARY:
Southeastern University is currently seeking qualified candidates to be cleared and added to our bachelor of science in communication disorders adjunct availability pool. Qualified applicants, transcripts, and documents will be reviewed and processed in preparation for upcoming terms. Select adjuncts from the pool are contracted term-by-term based on course/section needs and availability. It is preferred that adjuncts teach at least one course each academic year. Southeastern University reserves the right to not schedule and/or cancel courses based on enrollment. Qualified applicants should be willing to teach undergraduate-level courses in one or more of the areas listed below:
Education Required
Master’s degree or higher in communication disorders, speech language pathology or audiology as appropriate based on course
Major Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses as contracted. Must be able to teach both online and face-to-face sections. Face to face classes meet twice per week (Tuesday/Thursday) or three times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), at Southeastern University’s main campus, in Lakeland, FL. Priority given to face-to-face availability at this time.
Provide all necessary information and teach materials as outlined in the syllabus.
Communicate regularly with the Department Chair/ Program Coordinator regarding program updates and/or student-related concerns.
Meet for all scheduled class meetings for the assigned term.
Abide by and uphold university core values and mission.
Maintain appropriate ethical conduct as outlined by the ASHA Code of Ethics. Submit final grades within one week of the end of term.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and teach 8-week classes or 16-week communication sciences and disorders classes composed of undergraduate students working toward a Bachelor of Science in CSD.
